Sunny Days, the new release from Al Turner is one that really draws the listener in. From the funky opening track “ZO”, which features Saxophonist Dave McMurray to the uplifting “Right Where”, featuring Herschel Boone. Grammy winning pianist Bob James is featured on “Still Movin”. Marlon L. McClain, known for his work with Dazz Band & Pleasure, contributes on several tracks - most notably his guitar solo on “Funk For U”. Ron Otis plays drums on six of the tunes. Brian O’Neal, Lorenzo Johnson, Demetrius Nabors, Marcus Abernathy & Dana Davis contributes very fine keyboard work throughout the CD. Saxophonist Darryl Wakefield is featured on “Sunny Days” and “AL-T-TUDE”. Guitarist Randy Bowland, Darryl Dixson, Darnell Taylor, Rob Bacon, DeSabata Robinson & Quentin Baxter add funky guitar licks throughout the CD. Maurissa Rose is the featured vocalist on “Let’s Take It Back”. Lending his talent on “Great Day” is the incomparable flutist Nelson Rangell.
